This green smoothie recipe is a great way to get lots of nutrients into your body. You’ll benefit from good fats from the avocado and nut butter, all the goodness of greens, you’ll get those ever important carbohydrates and for those tastebuds the sweetness from the banana makes this smoothie nutritional but also delicious! To make this smoothie a complete meal simply add some protein powder – vanilla works best!
Prep time: 5 mins
1 cup milk (e.g. almond, soy, rice)
½ cup water or coconut water
1 frozen banana, peeled
Flesh of half avocado
Fresh mint leaves
Handful baby spinach leaves
2 tablespoons nut butter
Handful of ice
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
